Kruzee Mobility Inc. ("DrivePro", "we", "us", or "our") operates the DrivePro Vehicle-for-Hire Training platform at vehicleforhiretraining.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our platform to complete the City of Toronto Vehicle-for-Hire driver training program.
This platform collects sensitive personal information, including photographs and driver's licence images, as described below. Please read this policy carefully before creating an account.
1. Accountability
The Privacy Officer at Kruzee Mobility Inc. is responsible for our compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and for responding to privacy inquiries and complaints.

2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
Account Information
Your first and last name, email address, phone number, mailing address (street, city, province, postal code), Ontario Driver's Licence number, and account credentials (password stored using industry-standard hashing).
Identity Verification Photographs
Before the final exam, you are required to submit a webcam photograph (selfie) and a photograph of your Ontario Driver's Licence card. These are used to verify that the person taking the exam is the registered student. Both images are encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption and are accessible only to authorized administrators.
Facial Comparison Data
During identity verification, your browser uses facial recognition technology to generate temporary facial descriptors from your selfie and Driver's Licence photo. These descriptors are used solely to compute a similarity score within your browser. The descriptors are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. Only the numerical similarity score and a pass/flag status are sent to our server. No biometric templates are created, stored, or retained by DrivePro.
Exam Proctoring Data
During the final exam, our proctoring system captures webcam snapshots approximately every 30 seconds to monitor exam integrity. The system records:
- The number of faces visible in each snapshot (to detect the presence of unauthorized persons)
- Whether you navigate away from the exam browser tab
- Whether your webcam becomes disconnected during the exam
- Timestamps of all monitoring events
Snapshots are encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption.
All proctoring sessions are reviewed by authorized administrators. Sessions may be flagged automatically when monitoring detects no face present, multiple faces present, tab switches away from the exam, or webcam disconnection. Flagged sessions require administrative review before a certificate can be issued. An administrator may approve or reject a flagged session based on the snapshot evidence.
Course Progress and Results
Your course progress through five training chapters, quiz attempts and scores, exam results and attempt count, and certificate issuance records including certificate ID and issue date.
3. Why We Collect This Information
Each category of information is collected for a specific purpose:
Account information is necessary to create your training account and communicate with you about your progress. Your Driver's Licence number is required by the City of Toronto for completion reporting.
Identity verification photographs are necessary to confirm that the registered student is the person taking the exam. A photo of the physical Driver's Licence card is required because the licence number alone is insufficient to verify identity visually.
Webcam snapshots during the exam are necessary to maintain exam integrity and ensure compliance with the City of Toronto's training program requirements. Periodic snapshots (rather than continuous video) are used to minimize data collection while still providing sufficient evidence for integrity review.
4. Consent
By creating an account on this platform, you consent to the collection and use of your account information and course progress data as described in this policy.
Before beginning the final exam, you will be presented with a separate acknowledgment screen that explains the proctoring process, including webcam access for identity verification and exam monitoring. You must explicitly acknowledge this before proceeding. You may decline, but you will be unable to complete the exam or obtain your course completion certificate.
You may withdraw your consent to the collection and use of your personal information at any time by contacting us at vfhsupport@drivepro.ca. Please note that withdrawing consent will prevent you from completing the training program and may result in the inability to obtain or retain your Vehicle-for-Hire licence.
5. Information Shared with Third Parties
City of Toronto
As required by the Vehicle-for-Hire licensing program, we submit daily completion reports to the City of Toronto. These reports contain only your Provincial Driver's Licence number and course completion date. No photographs, exam scores, or other personal details are included in these reports.
Analytics
We use third-party analytics services to collect anonymized usage data about how visitors interact with our platform, including pages visited, time spent, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location. These services do not receive your name, email, Driver's Licence number, or any photographs.
Hosting Provider
Our platform is hosted on servers located in Canada. Our hosting provider provides infrastructure only and does not access your personal information. All data remains within Canada.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
6. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored on servers located in Canada. We implement the following security measures:
- Identity verification and proctoring photographs are encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption
- Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing
- All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
- Access to personal information is restricted through role-based access controls
- Only designated administrators (Superadmins and Customer Support Administrators) can view identity verification photos, proctoring snapshots, and exam review data
- Facial comparison processing occurs entirely within your web browser. No biometric templates or facial descriptors are transmitted to or stored on our servers
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information according to the following schedule:
Account information (name, email, phone, address, Driver's Licence number): retained for as long as your account is active and as required to fulfill our obligations under the City of Toronto Vehicle-for-Hire licensing program. Records are retained until a deletion request is submitted by you and confirmed with the City of Toronto, as the regulatory authority.
Identity verification photographs (selfie and Driver's Licence photo): retained for the same period as account information, as these records may be required for audit purposes by the City of Toronto.
Exam proctoring snapshots: retained for the same period as account information, as these records may be required to substantiate exam integrity.
Course progress, exam results, and certificate records: retained for the same period as account information.
Upon confirmed deletion, all personal information including encrypted photographs and proctoring snapshots will be permanently destroyed.
8. Your Rights Under PIPEDA
You have the right to:
Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. We will respond within 30 days.
